Salty Towers (formerly known as The Seaside Inn) has been welcoming guests for over 100 years. From our premium rooms (2, 3 and Marjorie's room) and our ground floor suites to our cosy little single rooms, all have their own unique and enchanting character - no two are alike. At night the refreshing sea breeze through open windows provides an magical environment for sleep. For the rare hot summer nights, all our guest rooms are air conditioned.

We are one block away from the shore and three blocks from the centre of town, Market Square, the wharf, shops and restaurants. A few blocks in the other direction beautiful Passamaquoddy Bay opens before you, part of the ocean off the Bay of Fundy. The town itself is 13 blocks long by 6 blocks wide, so walking and bicycle are ideal means of getting around.

St. Andrews is a remarkable place with scores of things to see and do. Everything from live music (sometimes at Salty Towers), kayaking, art shows, galleries, cool architecture and great food, opera and theatre (seasonal), to viewing sea life, hiking, sailing and chatting with interesting locals at the pubs or on a front street bench, it's all within a few blocks of the front door. Right near Salty a number of hiking trails offer great views and a breath of salty air. If you care to venture out farther, the incredible scenery and experience of Deer and Campobello Islands and Grand Manan are only shorts drives and a ferry trip away on beautiful Passamaquoddy Bay and the neighbouring communities of St George and St Stephen both have great things to see and do.

Here at the house, guests have access to a number of common spaces, three great porches (enclosed, sheltered and open) and the expansive yard. WiFi is available throughout the inn. We have parking on site as well as guest fridges and microwaves.

For the time being we are not set up to offer home-cooked food but eventually we are planning to schedule "Family Dinner" Nights! In the morning we will set you up with a fresh ground brewed coffee or tea and maybe even a homemade surprise treat.

Although there is no public transit from out of town, Saint John Limo will pick folks up from the airport or bus station in Saint John, Fredericton or Bangor, Maine. You can see prices on their web site or email Lorne Webster for more information or to book a ride.
